Mesh Lariat Necklace

Minimal and lean - a nod to history with a little current edge - the Mesh Lariat in dark oxidized sterling silver chain with vintage gold mesh droplets. Mesh drops are carved from an iconic Whiting & Davis purse (circa 1940s-1970s) then the edges are hand-linked with a substantially weighty sterling silver chain. Joinery around the mesh elements is carefully soldered/welded chain-to-chain, drawing smooth, uninterrupted lines throughout the work.

Necklace measures 18 inches around, dropping an additional 9 inches in front.
